Few things give more pleasure when walking outdoors than to come upon flowers growing in the wild!
Lilies like to get their feet wet along the swamps and lakes in the lowcountry. They come in a variety of colors, and burst forth in late spring and early summer.
If you've ever been to Middleton or Magnolia Gardens, you may have seen these blooms. I've had wonderful experiences photographing the lilies along the Audubon Swamp Trial, and used those image for this palette knife painting.
